Science-Based Tools for Everyday Life
At CORESZON, people connect with each other by sharing strengths. Now more than ever, finding connection is key.
Insecurity and worries don’t just influence our thoughts and feelings. They also cost our bodies a lot of energy. In sum, this can take a toll on our most important protective factor: helpful relationships with friends, family and colleagues.
Our prevention program gives you practical tools to care for your wellbeing, and the wellbeing of people close to you. It’s easy to learn, and easy to share – you’ll be surprised how much you already know!
We offer a range of opportunities for individuals and communities to build skills for wellbeing. Our interactive, hands-on training approach can help you discover how simple actions can strengthen wellbeing – in yourself, and in your community.
CORESZON was founded at the University of Hamburg Medical Center in Germany to develop and deliver simple knowledge and tools for community wellbeing. Our prevention program has a solid scientific base and we evaluate our work with a variety of measures. Constant feedback loops with our participants help us ensure quality, accessibility and responsiveness.
Cultivating responsive, mutually beneficial relationships is vital because CORESZON is about more than resilience training. We are a diverse and international network of trainers who build capacity for community mental health. Anyone can qualify to share our program in their neighborhood, wider community or organization. By exchanging knowledge across cultural, social and economic divides, we all learn how we can better care for each other in challenging times.
Open a conversation about mental health that gets people excited about all the different ways we can strengthen wellbeing together. Our resilience meet-ups and interactive talks are based on our belief that raising awareness is good, but most effective when coupled with action!
CORESZON’s prevention program is informed by current science and years of experience working together with children and their families on our Clinic for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics. Our approach works with the strengths that mothers, fathers and other caretakers draw on on a daily basis: attention, empathy and the ability to help children manage stress. Much of our work focuses on promoting caretaker wellbeing, because caretakers are our most important partners in creating a kinder, happier and more resilient society.
Because we humans need connection in order to thrive across our entire lifespan, our program is also meant for those of us without children. It helps wherever people depend on each other to make good things happen by building vital cooperation skills: mutual attunement, coping with conflict and regulating stress together.
